Pet Gift Guide 2026: Something for Every Dog, Cat and Pet Lover
Share
Every December, I hear from people who wish they'd started their holiday shopping a little earlier. So this year I'm putting our pet gift guide out before November even starts.
Here's the thing about buying for pets and pet people. It's one of the few gifts that never ends up in a drawer. Treats get used. And when they're single-ingredient, you don't have to worry about whether the dog has allergies or the cat is picky, because there's nothing hidden in the bag.
I've sorted this by who you're shopping for, so you can skip straight to the one you need.
For the dog with allergies or a sensitive stomach
This is the gift that says you actually listened. If your friend is always talking about their dog's itchy skin or upset stomach, our Rabbit Strips are where I'd start. Rabbit is a novel protein most dogs have never had, and it's the rabbit Brian and I raise ourselves. If they want to learn more, point them to our post on novel protein elimination diets.
For the big dog and the little one
Size matters when it comes to treats. Our bundles are put together with that in mind, so you're not giving a Chihuahua something built for a Shepherd.

Older dogs still deserve something special. Lean proteins like elk and venison still get a tail going, and they come in easy formats for older mouths. I wrote more about this in treats for senior dogs and cats.
For the picky cat
You know the one. Sniffs it, looks at you, walks away. Cats are carnivores through and through, and they can tell real meat from a processed pellet. The Purr Pack lets them try a few proteins, and the Rabbit Topper is my go-to for the cat who won't touch anything new.
Cat Lover's Purr Pack
A mix of single-ingredient cat treats to find their favourite.
$45.00 CAD

If someone on your list just brought home a puppy, or they've never tried single-ingredient treats, the Starter Pack is a simple way in. It covers a few formats so they can see what their pet likes best.
For the pet lover who has everything
The Indigenous Feast & Flavour Pack is our biggest bundle, with bison, rabbit and venison in one box. It's a showstopper under the tree, and it qualifies for free shipping on its own. If you'd like to tell them a bit about where it comes from, our heritage page is a nice place to send them.
Stocking stuffers under $25
Little gifts for the coworker's dog, the neighbour's cat, or to tuck into a card.
When you're not sure what to get
A Shades of Gray gift card lets them pick the protein their pet likes best. It's also the easiest last-minute gift there is, since it arrives by email.
And the one that counts down to Christmas
Our dog and cat advent calendars are made by hand in limited quantities and ship November 15 to 30, so they arrive fresh for December 1. If you're curious why we do them that way, I explained it all in why we make our advent calendars by hand.
Pet gift guide shopping tips
- Orders over $100 ship free. Grouping gifts for a few people into one order is the easiest way to get there.
- Shop early. Order by December 16 for Christmas delivery. We're closed for family time after that, and orders placed over the break ship the week of January 4.
- Not sure which protein? Send me a message through our contact page. I'm happy to help you pick.
